Calgary Family and Wedding Photographer
This was another great family I was able to photograph while in Hawaii. They were a blast! I love that they have 3 boys and 2 girls like me – I can just see this being my little family in a few years. I think it’s so important to have family photos taken to capture your family the way it is at that point in time. Kids grow way too fast and it’s easy to forget what things were like, but having family photos gives you that little glimpse into what everyone was like. It’s such a treasure to have!
Despite being cold I had so much fun with the James family taking their family photos. They were ADORABLE!! I LOVED their outfits! Seriously perfect! And everyone were such troopers as it was quite cold (-10C, that’s 14F in case you were wondering). I know we get WAY colder than that here in Calgary, but for photos of any kind that is COLD.
If you’re considering family photos in the winter months, jackets, scarves, toques, boots and fur can all be awesome accessories. This mama had that figured out and even when wearing their jackets they all looked great. I’m glad they were willing to brave the cold without their jackets because seriously how great are their outfits!

Edworthy Park has become one of my favorite places for family photos, especially in the fall months! I met this darling family there for their mini session and the colors were simply stunning, as was the family.
I love these girls so much. Not only are they beautiful on the outside, they are even more so on the inside. We have had a lot of fun times together and I love them like they’re my own sisters. We met in Olds for a girls night out, and it just wouldn’t be a get together without a photo shoot of some kind. I’m glad I was able to capture these 3 together. Maybe one day we’ll all live in the same city again… Next I need to do this with MY sisters!
