{BEATRICE} – Family Session
I am excited to share this recent family session with you! I have had the privilege of photographing this darling family for the last 6 years and I love how each family session we have together is beautiful and unique. This particular session with Matt and Shelby is definitely one of the top on my list I’ve done with them! Shelby rented this beautiful, vintage, olive green sofa from Orange Trunk named Beatrice. What a great name for a beautiful sofa! As soon as I saw Beatrice I knew where she had to go – in the middle of the field at Matt and Shelby’s new acreage. It couldn’t have been a more perfect fit. The olive green of the sofa is one of my most favorite colors and pair it with the French Provincial style and a gorgeous family… PERFECTION!!

Van de Walle
I recently had a fabulous session with the Van de Walle family. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I truly have the best clients ever! This family was no exception either. I love working with them! They are a kind, sweet and thoughtful family, and let’s be honest, such a good looking bunch! Mom had them dressed adorable in navy and yellow, and I love the cream dress with floral crown (that mom made!) for their little girl’s 1st birthday photos.
Brett, Rocko & Kids
It’s so fun when families come back to me for their family photos. I love being able to capture how each family grows and changes. I’ve done family photos for this darling family for the past 5 years and it’s been so fun to see them go from 1 little one to now 3 kids! I truly can’t believe how much the kids have grown and changed since I first met them.
And, it goes without saying, Brett and Rocko have become even better friends of mine over the time we’ve worked together. It’s hard to not become friends with someone like Brett, she’s smart, funny, friendly and super easy to get along with! Rocko is just as great. I love how gentle he is with his kids, you can tell how much he loves them. Their kids are the sweetest too. There were lots of hugs and “watch me do this” as they would make funny faces or show me something they found. I just love them!
When Brett emailed to book their family photos again, I don’t think I could have scheduled them fast enough! I was so excited for their session. And as for the day of the shoot, I had a blast! I’m pretty sure they had a pretty good time too.

JAMES | Calgary Family Photos
Despite being cold I had so much fun with the James family taking their family photos. They were ADORABLE!! I LOVED their outfits! Seriously perfect! And everyone were such troopers as it was quite cold (-10C, that’s 14F in case you were wondering). I know we get WAY colder than that here in Calgary, but for photos of any kind that is COLD.
If you’re considering family photos in the winter months, jackets, scarves, toques, boots and fur can all be awesome accessories. This mama had that figured out and even when wearing their jackets they all looked great. I’m glad they were willing to brave the cold without their jackets because seriously how great are their outfits!
