It’s a… – Calgary Birth Photography

 I was able to attend the most beautiful birth recently. Ryan and Susie decided to keep the gender of the baby a surprise, and everyone in that hospital room was ecstatic to find out that after 3 girls their last baby was a BOY!  
Susie did amazing! The nurse was hesitant to call the doctor in because Susie was just so happy. The only way you could tell when she was having a contraction was when she’d go quiet and put her head down.  At 11:51am weighing 7 pounds 7ounces and 19 1/2″ long a little blondie baby boy was born. I think he looks a lot like his sisters. This little boy will definitely not be lacking in the motherly love department, that’s for sure!
I’m so grateful to have been able to be a part of this experience. The doctor asked if Susie and were sisters (we look nothing alike), I think it was more that I was getting completely emotional and at times could barely see through the tears to take pictures. I love being able to witness such an incredible miracle.

Chris and Michelle were here from New York visiting family and we managed to fit a session in before they headed home. They were wonderful and braved the snow and cold – Michelle in a dress and sneakers! Such troopers! Thanks for the fun morning! I hope you enjoy your photos. Oh and a little fun fact – he’s 6’7″, she’s 5’3″!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I am so excited for this new year. It’s hard to believe 2013 is come and gone, but I’m looking forward to what 2014 has in store. And I wish everyone the best in this new year!

This year for Christmas my siblings and I gave the grandparents updated photos of all the grandkids. For my mom’s birthday a few years back we made a gallery wall of the then 7 grandkids. It was time to update “the wall” so this time we thought we’d try and keep them looking a little more coordinated (I’m sure my mom was tired of looking at the hot pink and bright turquoise my kids wore for family photos 3 years ago). I’m so pleased with how they turned out. I love how my family is growing – 11 grandkids ranging from 12 years – 3 months and another little one due in April.

 
 
 
 
 
 

 
 

 

Here were a couple that didn’t make “the wall”, but I just love these kids and wanted to show them off. I think we need to make an “out take wall” now too!
