Salt Lake Temple Wedding

I’ve got another beautiful wedding for you guys today! The adorable couple consists of Zac (who just so happens to be my cousin) and Maddie, two people that anyone would love to know. My hubby and I decided to make this a family trip as the wedding was in Utah and I’m so glad we did! My girls fell in love with Maddie when they first met her and the boys couldn’t wait to hear all about Zac playing football for Southern Utah University. What was even better was that Zac and Maddie were so kind and thoughtful and didn’t mind all the questions and the little kids wanting to be around them.

Zac and Maddie’s wedding day was truly wonderful. You could feel the love they have for each other. They had a beautiful Salt Lake Temple wedding. If you ever have a chance to visit Salt Lake make sure to visit the temple grounds. They are absolutely stunning!! Zac and Maddie’s reception was held at The Vista at Cedar Hills Golf Club, and it was simply beautiful. The decorations were lovely and everyone had a blast with the Photobooth Bus! My kids absolutely loved it and we even managed to fit my whole “little” family in for a quick picture. I’m so glad I was able to be a part of your special day Zac and Maddie, and wish you all the best!

Paige & Kelly | Calgary Wedding Photography

I love being able to photograph weddings here in Calgary. I used to drive to Cardston a lot for weddings, but having a temple here in Calgary has been wonderful! It’s so beautiful there. Paige and Kelly were married on a chilly, rainy day in the Calgary Temple, but I don’t think they could have looked happier. I love being able to be a part of such a special moment in peoples’ lives!! They were both radiating as they walked out of the temple hand in hand.

Paige looked stunning in her lace wedding gown and even my hubby commented on Kelly’s suit – we both loved the color. Paige’s bouquet was beautiful, I loved the touches of berries. She also let her bridesmaids pick their own dresses and didn’t see them until that day. I think they turned out great. One thing about planning a Calgary wedding is you need to be prepared for all kinds of weather! One minute it will be beautiful, the next we could have snow! Thankfully we didn’t get snow, but it was overcast for awhile, and as we got into the formals it started raining and then pouring and didn’t stop! Not ideal, but the whole bridal party was great through it all.

Calgary Wedding in the Fog

I had the privilege to 2nd shoot a wedding for Heidi Allred recently. I love shooting with Heidi, she is absolutely fantastic!! It’s fun being a 2nd shooter every now and then. The pressure is off and you can have a little more fun capturing behind the scene shots or those in between moments while the main photographer is doing their thing.

I could not believe the fog as I drove up to the Calgary Temple. The fog was so thick you could barely see anything. I loved it, it could not have been prettier! With Calgary you never know what kind of weather to plan for and sometimes the unexpected can be beautiful.

This lovely couple seem like a perfect match! They looked so happy as they came out of the temple. Congrats Kristin and Jordan, I wish you all the best!

Stephanie + Caleb = <3

This was a wonderful wedding. They are both nurses and met on the unit they were working on, then found out later that they went to junior high together. Stephanie’s brother gave her away as both her parents passed a few years ago to cancer. Steph and Caleb decided to do a “Kisses for Cash” and donated the money to the Canadian Cancer Society. What a beautiful tribute to her parents.

I was amazed at the wonderful, supporting group of friends these two have. From the wedding cake being made by her maid of honor, the cake topper made by a few close friends, her makeup by another friend, and the decorations done by Allure Interior Decorating who was another friend from work. It was beautiful to see.

Thank you Stephanie and Caleb for having me as part of your special day and I wish you all the best! And I want to throw a huge thank you to my partner in crime, Heidi. You are always a pleasure to work with and your photography is beautiful. Thanks for your help with their wedding.

Eloping at Rundle Ruins

This wedding was such a fun experience for me – they decided to elope!! Are you kidding! That’s awesome! When she called me to discuss details she knew she wanted a location that would be good for light and a mix of urban and natural, did I have any suggestions. The Rundle Ruins in downtown Calgary was the first that came to mind and they said it would be great. If you ask me I think we hit those 2 details square on.

The ceremony was lovely, just the two of them, the bishop and his wife, and me. It was a privilege to have been able to be a part of this. Thank you for allowing me to share in your special day and I wish you all the love and happiness in the world!
